An inaugural golf tournament benefiting Levine Children’s Hospital and the Children’s Miracle Network raised $15,000, organizers said. The Griffin Brothers Chip’n for Children Charity Golf Tournament, hosted by Griffin Brothers Tiers, Wheels & Auto Repair in Cornelius, was aimed at providing all children with access to quality health care.

The winning team was Michael Teague, Andy Pressley, Cameron McCutcheon and Brian Cowman, with a score of 57. The putting contest winner, Steve James, received an invitation to the Children’s Miracle Network Classic, a PGA golf tournament in Orlando.
