Christmas in Davidson

Visit Santa Claus, see local performers, tour in a horse-drawn carriage or shop for the perfect gift at Christmas in Davidson, running Dec. 3-5 from 6-9 p.m. each night. If you’ve never been, this is a great year to sample this beloved local tradition. Downtown merchants will be running specials, and more merchandise will be available at the Village Green. A Comforting Cup

Tullamore Toddy
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup water
3 pieces cardamon
2 pieces anise
1 tablespoon allspice
1 small vanilla pod (or half of a large one)

Heat brown sugar and water to a simmer. Add spices. When adding vanilla pod, cut down the middle and scrape the insides into the pot. Mix 1½ ounces of the toddy mixture with 1½ ounces of Tullamore Dew Irish Whiskey and serve. Garnish with a lemon peel or
cinnamon stick.
